Can you tell me a little about yourself?

As you can probably guess, my name is Sarah Grand. I am 27 years old and live in the greatest place on Earth — New York City! I work in business operations at a tech company by day, and work on this blog and my corresponding Etsy shop in my free time.

When did you start crafting?

I’ve been making things my entire life and first started sharing them online in 2012, to my first blog, which is now defunct. I only began selling the things I made in late 2017, when I posted my very first item to Etsy.

What camera do you use and who takes all your photos?

I almost always just use my iPhone for photos. Sometimes I’ll use my Canon DSLR for “treats” or “prints” photos, but it’s getting a bit old, and I honestly find my iPhone to be better for coloring and background blur. My boyfriend takes all the photos of me, and I take all the photos that I’m not in myself.

What advice do you have to someone who wants to start crafting?

My advice would be to just start making stuff! I try to force myself to never get too in my head about an idea, and just immediately begin executing. As with almost anything, the hardest part is just getting started.
